Fan photo's for £1.99 - ABSOLUTE DISGRACE

by mini _dariusz » 15 May 2008 13:19

So the club are asking you to pay £1.99 if you want to buy a picture of yourself ?

I'd make sure i got an image right's deal on the photo's of me and let the club know i wouldn't let them sell photo's of me without this image rights deal.

complete jokers.

The Evening Post do this. If you appear in the paper, you can buy the photo from them.

Isn't there something on the back of match tickets which makes it part of the conditions of sale that you give permission for your image to be broadcast, printed sold etc?

Not a patch on United though.

Let the fans make up a song
Let the fans sing the song
Then sell the singing to the fans as a ringtone

You can right click and save the picture with IE too - don't need Firefox to do it.

Is the bug bear the principle of the £1.99 per photo or the fact that your image is in the photo. Not being argumentative but in all walks of life potentially unwarrented images of individuals are captured on CCTV, police evidence gathering cameras, live TV footage. As this is all public domain and not a breach of any aspect of the data protection act, an invididual cannot copyright or contol the use of their image unless in a professional capacity.
Enjoy the moment and go with the flow.
Have a photo of my daughter in the north stand celebrating Doyles pen against Man U. Cost me a fiver but not a problem.

On the OS. Which begs the question - are we now allowed SLR cameras into grounds or was Derby the exception to the rule
