Christ, that thread reminds me of that scene in The Life Of Brian when they're going on about the People's Front of Judea/Judean People's Front etc., just trying to figure out who they should hate and why.

Why the oxf*rd would anyone from Berkshire give the slightest of shits about that archaic partisan nonsense? Next we'll be discussing whether Reading is a predominantly left- or right-hand wanking club...

Just goes to show how backward they are up there, someone should tell them this sort of crap went away hundreds of years ago down here. No wonder there are so many problems in the world when idiots like this start giving a toss what religion someone else is

Stuka Brilliant stuff. Any chance of a link to the Celtic forum? They think all kinds of people are "Loyalists"

http://www.talkceltic.net/forum/archive ... 09174.html

tbf a lot of them are pointing out, just like us, just how stupid the thread actually is. one person replied to me and agreed that reading isn't a loyalist club, and the only clubs that can really be associated with that are rangers and linfield (NI club)

best to just ignore this. the worst thing that can happen is some fans on here respond (e.g the photoshopped orangeman sash on Kingsley idea) which would provoke a tiny minority of celtic sectarians and make an issue out of it (and make reading fans like me who come from a differing background a little uncomfortable)

harryroyal Stumbled across a celtic forum and someone on there had us down as a loyalist/protestant club. Anyone have any insight on this?

Hold no affection for Rangers, just because I detest Celtic doesn't mean I like Rangers.

It was the (Ian) Paisley lined crombies on the South Bank that sealed the deal for me.
