If a blast of Tom Hark is the price to pay for us getting a goal I'd be more than happy to hear it five or six times a game.

I reckon Tom Hark should be replaced with the Sweet Caroline chorus.

Get rid!! Jesus Christ get rid! Old! Stale! Mechanical! Horse! Dead! Flog! My God, it's just embarrassing! If we must play goal music why not something like Reach Up?! Something that is rousing!! Ok, it's Leroy's song, but then that'll be all the more poignant if he scores and it gets played!

Or of course, for those in the fans forum in January Steven Hunt's personal suggestion of Riverdance should go down a treat with the Irish boys!

In all seriousness, get rid. It's tacky now.

Not a bad idea....how about a different song for each different player that scores?

Has Sweet Caroline come and gone with a wimper?
I heard it briefly on Saturday but it didn't last for long.
I was half-expecting it just before the game.
Would that do for a celebration?
We might get embarrassed if (not when) we aren't doing well (good times etc) - but, hey, let's face that if it happens.

I thought this was always the plan. Following the end of the season last year and the may 1st match where they played it there too (i think).

I also think if they have something planned it will be debutted and released this coming saturday as it is the start of the season and would think that's when they will want to play it first.

Maybe someone could email BBC Radio Berks, or they'll note this thread and do a phone in vote or something along those lines. We are after all, a small voice and the majority of supporters don't use this forum. It'd be interesting to see the reaction of the fans with regards to keeping it or not.

Well they play it when we score so it is.

If it's any consolation, we're likely to score less next season.

This is clearly the problem, as well as the plasticness of it all.

if they don't fix the pa system pretty sharpish, it won't really matter - I could hardly hear the tune, particularly after the first goal.

We are always complainging about lack of atmosphee

A lot of the less vocal supporters need "cueing up" to do something and at least most join in to old Tom so leave it alone.

Surely everyone can see themselves to celebrating a goal without "cue"?
I find I go mental when we score and Tom Hark just spoils it now.

Keep it. I don't dance along to it or stop my celebrations, but a big big chunk of the fans do and clearly like to. Plus it winds up the aways
