I'd rather be at the bottom of a ladder i want to be climbing, than half way up one i want to get off.

If you want to have a rainbow you've got to put up with the rain. Thats Dolly Parton, and people say she was just a big pair of tits

But it would make us think of the next day when we have to do all those chores. The next day being Sunday and all.

Sebastian If we expand the stadium (which I'm still undecided about, as you may have realised) I hope we get a proper PA system - they play some shit music at the moment. How about U2's Sunday Bloody Sunday? What a great song. It really encapsulates the frustration of a Sunday, doesn't it? You wake up in the morning, you've got to read all the Sunday papers, the kids are running round, you've got to mow the lawn, wash the car, and you just think 'Sunday, bloody Sunday!

I think it'd make our Saturdays go with a bang.

Expanding or not expanding the stadium would be like the English closing the Severn Bridge. The Welsh would hate it. They would go ape shit. Then if the English open it, the Welsh would bang on about how much they hate England. Does this make sense? Good.

We could go for Elton John's "Saturday night's alright for fightin'" for the Tuesday games. And Ruby Tuesday, obviously, for any Sunday games.

Interesting to read today that Bristol City's new ground could be considered as part of the stadia bid for World Cup 2018, if it meets the capacity and other requirements. That would mean it needing to be a 42,000 seater, I think we should do likewise. Would be great to have a beer at home then catch a train to watch a World Cup game

And the train service to Bristol is indeed excellent !

I read today that they need 10 stadia and have approached Twickenham to be one of them.

So if we assume Wembley, Emirates, OT, Villa Park, Anfield, Eastlands, SofL and St James are definites there is a lot of competition for that one remaining slot....

Three are allowed for London apparently.
Also, I see Emirates Sof L, Eastlands, St J P etc, but Anfield! A shit-hole and only fit 42,000 in by hooking your knees round the neck of the person in front. Please don't make foreign guests go there. It's not 1966 any more. (Or do they mean the replacement, which hasn't even been approved yet)?

I'd take Anfield over the 'Theatre of Dreams' any day....

Anfield has a superb atmosphere and I love going there. Old Trafford is a soulless pile em high sell em cheap place as bad as any of the much derided 'modern' grounds.

I'd take neither given the choice. I'd take a proper football ground like Goodison or Craven Cottage, where you're not fighting your way past hordes of football tourists, usually from Ireland or the Far East, who are all clutching their carrier bags full of Megastore merchandise.

I'd heard so much about the fantastic Anfield atmosphere, and then I heard the pre-match YNWA being played through the speakers to give it some volume....

Old Trafford was the first purpose-built, out of town football ground to be built in this country. So, their just sticking to their roots, really.

The music is a personal thing and you will never please everyone.

What the club does need to sort out is the sound quality. It is truly appalling and I can't understand half of whatever is said. Mind, is that such a bad thing?
