Well peed off 1588 points and dumped in the same category as those with 600!

Some thanks/reward for loyalty.

If they're going to run it like this they might as well just abandon Royalty Points and just make it a massive free for all.

They are offering free travel for the first 2800 but I dont live in Reading

These will sell out before I can get one.

PEARCEY The club have under-estimated the interest there will be in attending this claim. I reckon we would sell between 4000 to 5000 tickets.

Particularly as they're offering free coach travel to the first 2800.

Reading Football Club are paying for free coach travel for ALL of our supporters to the FA Cup quarter final at Manchester City.l

Although further down the statement it states about the 2,800 tickets, the first line of the statement reads above. Interesting now that they have created a huge demand. Hard hats at the ready! :D

....and you have to hope the ticket gets posted to you in time. The tickets should have been on sale today or tomorrow at the latest. By Monday the club would then know if they needed a further allocation.

PieEater Good gesture for the free travel, I may actually go now.

But WTF about not being able to book it online, how difficult would it be to add a check box to a web page? Meltdown on the phones on Monday.

They've got that sorted with a new dedicated 0991 number at 99p a minute!

Facebook does not state there will be more tickets available beyond the 2,800 it just references the announcement link to RFC's OS.

Can anyone with inside club knowledge confirm that there will be more availability if there is demand?

The Real Sandhurst Royal Do you need to be a STAR member to use the free coach service laid on by the club to Man City or has this been waived by the club?

The club is paying for 3 coaches run by STAR so that the regulars can travel as usual - the rest are being run by the club and so there is no need to be a STAR member for those.

Not sure where this further allocation would be seated anyway. It could be up in tier 3 on the side of the pitch away from the rest of the Reading contingent.

So let me get this right, we were thinking of a goodwill gesture to the fans and putting on free travel to an FA Cup quarter final and we decided to take an allocation of 2,800 out of a possible 5,800!

Pure genius! :|

Suggest you get a screen print of the initial statement because the text I received states that Ts & Cs apply. I sense we will witness them reversing quicker than a French army vehicle! (apologies to our European friends from across the channel).

I suggest they book the courier now and have their IT department working over Monday night through to Tuesday morning.

What the f*ck has Fordham got to do with RFC he works for the evening post.

Another f*ck up by RFC IF TRUE.......Why RFC can't make an announcement in the first place to state " Should there be sufficient demand RFC can request more tickets from Man City for the sixth round QF match", simple really.

Everything about this is an epic fail to be honest. Waiting until cob on Friday before making an announcement and then only requesting 2800 tickets.
