How can you slate this years kit and like that one, JUST because it has more white? LOL. I completely agree, I much rather our strip being whiter rather than bluer, but... that is one pugly kit. I can't wait until we see Puma out, unless we renew with them.

Adidas please... would love to see what they'd do with our kit, 3 blue stripes down white sleeves etc.

1871 Royal More white than blue > more blue than white.

Also white shorts and socks > blue shorts and socks

Btw it's nice to see you posting 1871.

I'm up for a hooped away kit as well, not bothered about the colours though.

Seems the two line thing has really been adopted by Puma on their kits for 11/12. Wouldn't be surprised if its on our kit afterall

I must admit to actually liking the blue shorts and socks. I grew up with the white versions of the 1970s so was not too impressed when we switched to blue on our move to the Mad Stad. However, when the shirt is predominantly blue, I feel the blue shorts and socks works really well.

That said, if the shirt is predominantly white, then a return to white shorts and socks would probably look better.

Anyone know when the club will actually confirm what dreadful design they're going to foist on us next season?

In October, Puma pass the club a range of designs that they have on their account which are also used by other clubs. The club then weed out designs that are impractical eg those that aren’t suitable for hooped shirts, hoops that are at least 18mm high to fit the sponsor’s name on. They also want a contrast with last year’s design.

The playing department have an input at this stage as do the board in fine tuning the design e.g. do they want white shorts? Are they able to read the numbers on the back? (They couldn’t one year).

The chairman also likes to approve the final design.

This all has to be finalised – proof-approved – 16-20 weeks before the actual launch date which is always early July.
