Royal Blue Just a thought, and I don't intend to fight anyone on this - I wonder whether the club have asked Man City what their response is likely to be if they go back to ask for more tickets? If so, what was their response and if not, why not?

It would be useful to know whether Man City have kept back an area that could still be sold off to travelling supporters.

View of some City supporters I have spoken to is that they haven't kept any areas back and therefore any further tickets to Reading would involve moving City ticket holders.

That's the way it normally works, yes. An area(s) will be kept unsold as both clubs assess the relative demand for tickets, then they'll allocate it to whoever can sell it, bearing in mind segregation (in concourses as well as seated area). It's in the interests of both clubs to sell as many tickets as possible, after all.

The more I think about it the more I think the FA should look into this type of thing.

I can understand clubs not giving the away fans a full allocation on sale or return if they know they will get a capacity crowd but in this type of instance when City aren't even thinking of opening a Quarter of their ground due to they don't think they will fill it!

As City were clearly thinking they would have trouble to sell the tickets, the full allocations should have been given to Reading on sale or return.

Will City have to pay Reading for the 10,000 tickets that they don't sell?

From the o/s - No additional tickets, RFC decided way back to ask both Villa and Man City for only 2800 as they thought that would be enough. No more available, Citeh already selling adjacent blocks.

We took nearly that number to QPR. Without the coaches would we have got over 3000 travelling?

It says we only took 1,500 to the playoff away leg vs Burnley. But wasn't this cos our allocation was 1,500 ?? I seem to recall that stand being full :?:

Burnley had erected a giant scoreboard and ripped half the seats out to get it in!

I guess they have saved the cost of 4000 or so coach fares, which we are being assured that they would have paid oh yes, if they had only been able to get hold of more tickets.

Hmm.

If everyone books a place on the bus even if they have no intention of getting the bus it would be a small victory

Moo - how many points have you got?

If the online ticketing is already allocating to fans, then it's even more of a bloody shambles - someone's head should roll over this.

If, having well over 1600 points, we don't get our tickets on Monday because loads of people have got theirs before they should, then I'll go effing ballistic.

Moo - can you PM me the secret to getting a ticket early...I won't be near a computer on monday and could do with getting hold of the tickets today or tomorrow...

Does it matter if I haven't quite got enough points on all of the member cards?

For all those who claimed we were just moaning, that statement from the club shows that the club know they have scored a massive OG. They seem to now be aware that they have pissed a fair amount of their own valued customers! Looks like I'm gonna have to go with my Citeh supporting mate!

Well, the latter point doesn't really matter - it's the points total which matters and you have enough - so fair dos, but I still think it is just plain wrong that ANYONE should be able to get a ticket before Monday if Monday is the day they've stipulated.

I'm loathe to order online before Monday, in case they don't accept my order. Even if we order online, we need our tickets by Friday at the very latest as we're away and going to the game from there - but what if they don't turn up?

I suppose I could go and queue for possibly hours, with loads of other 1600+ royalty points holders, but that means work will suffer.

I think the ALL SUPPORTERS promise was meant to mean the initial 2800 but once it was published they were screwed, Take another 4000 tickets and they'd have a bill for prob £80,000 for the coaches. They are squeezing the promise into the pr now and repeating that they would indeed have paid it.

Turned out alright though, what with there not being any other tickets and that.
