Having now been to Eastlands, I have to say that City's tickets look very good value.

We got our reminder card thingy in the post today - one comment (besides how much did that little lot cost to produce, obv) - they say ST holders get a £20 voucher which they use towards merchandise, towards a hospitality package or "for a home league game" - I presume, seeing as our ST covers all home league games, they mean we can buy a ticket for a game for a friend - personally, I'd have preferred to be able to use it for the first home carling cup/league cup game.

Except that these days the club keep the money from league games, so the £20 stays with them, but in cup games it is shared, so they lose 40%, in order to do that deal they would have to up the price of the cup game to compensate, I think they call it marketing, you know buy one get 2 free sort of thing.

Is that Legs on that ST renewal flyer, if so he must be here to stay.

On that basis I'm going to renew my ST straight away.

Just lining things up so if he's not signed you can threaten to sue the club and they'll cave in and settle out of court?

In all seriousness though, you'd have to question the sense in using a "non-permanent" player in promotional material for next season given Reading fans' disposition for moaning.

I still believe a permanent deal is already in place.....

LOL @ the club spamming me with e-mail and post asking me to buy a season ticket by 28/4. Not. Going. To. Happen.

But a bigger LOL is in the offing at all of us scoffing here "yeah good luck with that 'regardless of what division we are in' bit". The club has responded to the stick on this thread by instructing the team to play better, win more games and move up the table to sh*t us all up a bit. It's the marketing equivalent of where the hostage taker shoots the woman to show he means business in Air Force One.

I'm tempted to buy one for the first time. Probably won't bother though.

Looks like I won't be getting one for the first time in years.

Will still attend a fair few matches though but with crowds down I should be able to get to the ones I want, miss out the dross and save myself some time & money.

I still haven't seen where it says "ST renewals are UP on last year" as per HSSC - bearing in mind that a) there were probably next to no renewals at the same time last year (so saying they are up is rather misleading) and b) how can renewals be UP at all - either everyone renews in which case it is the same number as last year and can't be UP. :|

I can only assume that they mean that they are up on this stage of the process last year (ie - x weeks into the offer last year a certain number of people had renewed and this year it is m ore than that).

Well, yes, that's kind of what I was getting at - in that I suspect renewals at this time last year (end of March bear in mind) were practically non-existent!

TBF, you've always been "told when you can and cant renew" just as much as this year. The dates are different, yes, this year - but the process hasn't changed.

Harpers So Solid Crew Good post SS, thing is I have always been in favour of the better seats costing more, but when you look at SL and TL in the Riverside there is a difference of £90, and that could and would be just across the walkway in many cases, is that view worth more/less?

This is the Riverside Stand at Craven Cottage. It's not just the difference between SL and TL that's surprising, but you can be charged an extra £300 for sitting one row further back!

You have to draw the line somewhere if you have price categories - the alternative is a graduated price difference betwene every single row.

Interesting - does no 5 mean priority will not just be on points but ST and points as it is not just home cup matches?

OS Eight reasons to play your part:
1) We guarantee your seat for every home league game.

2) Adult Season Ticket Holders get at least 6 games FREE, Concessions pay just £10 per game and fans aged 16 and under pay less than £4.50 a game.

3) All those aged 17 and over will receive a £20 voucher to spend at Reading FC*

4) Those aged 16 and under will get a free Young Royals membership - including a £10 Megastore voucher and ID Card.

5) You'll get priority booking and ticket prices for Cup matches!*

6) You will receive an exclusive new design entry card - only given to Season Ticket holders.

7) Receive offers from the Club and our partners throughout the season

8) Finally - but most importantly - you'll be part of the team! We thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you at Madejski Stadium for the 2011/12 season.
