Woodcote Royal Some will be delighted if it helps create an illusion of mid-table mediocrity which they crave.

I presume that now you've renewed you'll actually go into the ground and not drive up and wait in the car for the team news before deciding to take up your seat.

I can safely say that NO-ONE craved mid-table mediocrity - they could see it happening and until recent weeks, it was still on the cards, but NO-ONE who is a fan of RFC would WANT or CRAVE mid-table mediocrity, in fact even when we weren't doing well or put out a team that we weren't 100% keen on, we still attended every game, you utter cretin.

Woodcote Royal Just renewed and, given our current form, I'd suggest all those who wish to watch their team next season from the seats they've occopied for years give up playing silly mind games and do the same.

Yes, those at the club, who thought nothing of demanding renewals before the end of the current campaign, have been arrogant in their approach and shown scant regard for fans who will struggle to find the money but the teams performances in recent weeks means that only those of us in the Upper West will have to stump more than £400 for what might be a season in the top flight.

The goal posts have moved and this is no longer the time to take a stand on an issue that should been handled far better than it was.[/quote]

utter bollocks.

An unbelievably (well from most but you) arrogant and ridiculous retort.

I strongly suspect that there are even some within the club who would privately/off the record admit that this was the case.

That was Readingbedding gr8 m8. We've never advocated a party so far in advance of an end of a season. BUT, if we go up, I'll be partying at the AD like there's no tomorrow!

they gave you loads of time to renew at last seasons cost, and only added 20 quid on for therest, i think thats pretty fair. they also offer plenty of payment options including a 0 % interest one, and one with interest, but very low monthly payments.
not only that but they have gone on a very good run to convince you theyre worth it in good time for you to change your mind.
i cant see what else they could do for you you massive bloody ingrate.

Address the issue everyone is unhappy about and extend the period in which you can renew your seat to a more reasonable proximity to the start of next season.

Not everyone is unhappy about it though, I think it was unreasonable, but like anything it is a one off move, next season it will seem normal to renew in april, as it is at many other clubs, those with the best/most popular seasts wil renew or lose them.

Anyone looking at the sales of seats will know that despite what the club say that some seats are more popular than others, this may be the start of a new pricing structure.

I was just answering Bendy's question about how the club could appease those who are unhappy and pointing out the issue that those who unhappy are unhappy about.

Will you be at Wembley tomorrow supporting Citeh, or at the Mad Stad supporting your other team?

Probably 90% of those people in the best seats would have renewed early with a renewal discount instead of the club pissing them off with a threat.

But the club want and seem to need the money in earlier, perhaps it makes budgeting a lot easier for the summer, rather than wait till June, could be lot to do with players contracts as well. Needing to know what is in the pot before giving contracts to players that could leave or stay in June.

It also means that they can sell unrenewed STseats before the season ends.

You'd have thought they'd have had this problem in previous years too. :| If they really do need to know how much money they've got to play with due to ST sales, then they're in more dire straits than even I thought possible.

It is more simple than that, banks are less likely to allow sizable overdrafts, that is those that are a gamble rather than for cash flow.

In the past there was parachute money, a higher club at this level needs about £18mill income!! see our expenses in 2006 to show this.

RFC will know their share of next seasons TV money at this level, which will be more if they appear more often, however that extra is dependant on being up the top of the table.

The only other guaranteed income by June is ST money, which is why it is so important to have that figure as early as possible, waiting fro possible renewals is a big gamble, even if they were reserved for £20 as has been suggested, that may still mean fans not actually renewing.

JM is not in a position to finance major losses, as has been mentioned many times.

RFC is a well run club, they are challenging at the moment on earned income, not anything borrowed from the future, for along time JM has said that is the way of the club, we seem to have a squad of players who are happy for that to be the way the club they play for is.

Who would want to be a player at Sheff Utd, all that money wasted in the past, and look at them now, looking forward to a Sheff derby again, at a low level.

RFC paying good wages, not the highest, but at this point in time very fair.

Lower wages in The Prem are always going to be better than decent wages in the Championship
