Brum Royal Just got 4 Brentford tickets. Terrace sold out, into the last 100 seats, no more detailed figure given (I see someone mentions 75 above).

Were they down to the last 100? Phew, I got in just in time then. I thought I was leaving it a bit late. Will be in the seats.

bcubed IN but driving, so wont be drunk

Where are you parking for this one buddy? It's not as easy as it used to be to park around Griffin Park. The council have introduced an enforced parking zone to keep the likes of us out.

I was thinking to park north of the M4, off South Ealing Road on one of the side roads and walk down from there. It's a school night so don't want to get the kid home too late by using the tubes.

Haven't decided yet
A Brentford website I looked at says there is a car park nearby but it looks small. Am coming from the North so your suggestion may not work. grateful for any ideas

I went looking for predictions for this game and unsurprisingly people are suggesting a home win, Brentford are very strong at home after all. However, this one made me chuckle at how much they got wrong in such a small passage.
Both sides will be pretty content with life right now after bright starts to their respective seasons. They are both in the top half after 9 games and Reading in particular will be delighted with how they’ve adapted to life under Jaap Stam.

The Royals are currently riding high in 4th place and their bold move for the Dutchman in the summer looks to be paying off. They are unbeaten in 8 matches overall now and are chasing a 4th straight win in all competitions here. It’s a bit soon to start talking about Reading as serious promotion contenders though and they have had a few things go their way in recent weeks. Their opponents have had a man sent off in the 1st Half of each of their last two league games, a 2-1 win at Barnsley and 1-0 win over early leaders Huddersfield on Saturday. Their previous two wins came courtesy of goals in the final couple of minutes so they’ve been involved in a lot of tight games but seem to have a knack of coming out on top, which is a good habit to get into.

This will be a real test for the new-look Reading though. Brentford have been very strong at Griffin Park so far this season. They’ve collected 10 points from their 4 home league games, the most recent of which was a crushing 5-0 victory against Preston, 10 days ago. They’ve only conceded 1 goal in those 4 games, scoring 9 themselves and it’s over 6 months since they lost at home in the Championship.

Brentford were beaten 3-1 at Wolves at the weekend but back on home soil, they’ll be hoping to get back on track. It is still very early days in the season and Reading, who finished 17th last year are probably not quite as good as their current 4th place suggests. Given Brentford’s strong home record, odds of 5/4 for Brentford to win this look to offer value.

The last bit I bolded just because it seemed a bit of a snarky opinion.

Isn't that almost exactly what we were telling Brighton fans last year?

Read on football ground guide:

Pubs around ground are:
The Griffin (which serves Fullers real ale) The Princess Royal and The New Inn.

The New Inn is the favoured pub for away supporters.

Derek Hall a visiting Hartlepool United fan adds; 'Probably the best pub out of the four is the Griffin, with the New Inn a fairly close second, although this was packed on our visit'.

Never been to Brentford so not sure what to expect - where's everyone heading?
