That's exactly what they did Shards!

Relocate fans into the vacant seats that Reading didn't take up and hold back the North stand until general sale, thus not opening the upper tiers and saving on staffing and safety costs.

Massive backfire on both clubs accounts!

southbank1871 Firstly, thank fukk I bottled booking my train tickets on Friday on the assumption that we would get a further allocation. I had a sneaking suspicion there would be some sort of balls up.

Massive +1

The only way to ease the pain is a Super Sunday all dayer.

Pub roast
England v Scotland
Reading v Man City
The smug feeling when it's all over that a quick tube or can ride and your are home, rather than messing about with coaches and trains

Would still rather be there mind, but intend to make the most of my plan B Sunday instead.

I'll return that +1 Sealers, as that's exactly what I'll be doing. Going to have to convince a pub round by me to turn over from the rugby straight away after it's finished though.

fcuking rugby getting in the way - what time does it finish?
Will be scouting a decent venue over the nxt wk, somewhere close as I'm pretty lazy and will prob be hungover

Ginger Ninjas How's everyone finding the website - I'm repeatedly getting a "Due to the high volume of activity, we are currently unable to connect you" message ??

Logged in first time at 9.30am and bought mine no problem.

I know Seal doesn't like the idea of a bar in a railway station but if anyone is stuck to find somewhere in London, both Marylebone and Victoria Sports Bar & Grill will defo show the game - pm me if you want and I'll get in touch with the right people and make sure they show it on at least one tv for you.

Very kind RL, and was been slightly facetious with my criticism of the Victoria Sports Bar & Grill.

I wouldn't worry, there are loads of places that will show both in London. The pubs love the back to back sports Sundays...makes them loads more cash. Early front runners for me are:-

Kings Arms, Fulham
Hollywood Arms, Chelsea
The Alex, Clapham Common
Sporting Page, Chelsea
Regent (FKA The Balham Tup), Balham

Actually getting quite excited now!

As an exile, it came down to a straight choice - watch it bitterly on a pub 2 miles from the stadium or suck it down and get a pair of tickets in the City end. At least I don't really sound Southern.

I try to. I know it's a cliché to say somewhere in central London is full of tourists, but that god awful place really is. Much happier with the outside central london gastro & sports pub option.

Even the City fans are saying why can't we give Reading a side of tier 3, although I do hope the statement from their forum below isn't correct!

As far as I am aware the sale or return for our club was only on the standard league allocation, for the increased cup allocation we would have had to pay for it whether the tickets were sold or not.

That decision only makes sense if City know they can sell those seats themselves. I suppose it's good news for the South Stand people who don't have to relocate, but it still seems strange. We clearly didn't do that to Villa, or Notts County.

seem to watch most live ftball at the Alexandra or the Duck, most likely to be the former this time round, however it will be packed with rugby fans, but has a couple of big screens so should all be good.

True, but it's an absolute guarantee we'll at the very least get a 14" TV on mute in the upstairs corner.

They had a good lol at me in The Duck when I asked if they'd be willing to put Reading v QPR on one of their TVs at the same time as the England v Wales rugby.

Just To let you know the City forum is really gathering pace with the ' give Reading more tickets subject ' 28 pages of ticket stuff but the last 2 or 3 pages have taken a turn.

Could fan power from both clubs triumph?

Apart from the fact it will doubtless be filled with wonky haircutted belmonts drinking cloudy Dutch beer and bellowing into their phones about the latest social media project that Mungo and Giles are promoting.

(which is what it was like the last time I tried to watch football in there).

If Mr Madjski isn't on the phone right now to Mr Mubarak then he needs to drop what he's doing and get dialing.
