Stand capacities

by Big Foot » 03 Jan 2012 14:17

Quick one, can someone please confirm the capacity of both the East & Lower West?

Just read on online ticketing that there's 4,250 seats left in these stands for Stevenage on Saturday...

4350 can get in the south stand according to here http://www.readingfc.co.uk/page/Stadium ... %2C00.html.

North will be a bit more because it isn't split down the middle so say 4,400,

I always expect East to be about 8000 and lower west to be about 3.5 thousand and I'd expect 4000 to fit in the upper west

adding those figures gives a total of 24300 (when rounded to the nearest hundred)

So 8000 and 3.5 thousand with a few hundred here or there

Depending how sales are going the club should announce on friday that sales on the day are also, £12 for adults fill the place up, perhaps get a few that had not thought of gong in. Add Stevenage sales to that and I would guess we are looking at over 10k as it stands, £12 on the day might mean 13k

Stevenage average 280 away from home.

I'd say 400 would be pushing it.

Bear in mind that it's unreserved seating, which generally means they sell up to 90% of the available seats.

Just booked my ticket and they said Lower West was far busier. Expecting a gate of 6-7 thousand!

I think they've said in the past (pre segregation):

East: 8500
North: 4400
South: 4400
West: 6900

Not sure what that makes the upper and lower West individually though. Probably about 3000 lower tier.

A friend of mine posts on their board and a few have requested usernames and can't get them approved.

paultheroyal Club only expecting to open up lower west and east stand for home fans.

Upper West also open now, seems we're going to get a decent crowd (for a 3rd round FA cup tie vs lower league oppo)
