Big Foot I'll be amazed if there's 100+ Reading fans there

33 of us in Slovenia in 2010 8)

Less than that in Sweden 2006. Kitson was moved to say to us "Bloody hell, you're keen" as they arrived for the game they played in a forest clearing in the absolute middle of nowhere and Sam Sodje (I know, I know) actually wanted US to pose with him for photos.

Ah, I remember it well. (as well as the drink allows me anyway - was a bit drunk by the end of the game). I think it was 13-0 versus IFK Bergvik or something like that.

Actually, the memory is obviously not so good. The Bergvik game was in 2004.
I think the game in 2006 in the middle of nowhere was 10-1 against Lanna GoIF

Games are being pencilled in for the Algarve region for Saturday 21st, Monday 23rd and Friday 27th July - details will be finalised in due course and please note all dates and locations are subject to confirmation.

That was a fantastic experience, ended up sitting on one of the hilly banks next to a local who insisted I tried his homemade 'tea'. about 10 'teas' later and I fell down the bank.

Only Portuguese top flight side based in the Algarve are Olhanense who are finishing mid table. No idea about clubs below that level.

Portimonense S.C. (based in Portimao, just to the west of Silves & Albufeira) played in their Premier League last season (10/11) but were relegated, so suggest they might be a possible choice (9,540 seater stadium).

PS: my in-laws live just outside Portimao so I'm ok Jack!

Surely we'll just play in the Albufeira cup?

If so expect a random friendly and then two games in the competition at the Municipal Stadium.

Competition usually features three teams (two from Portugal), so fingers crossed for at least one of Braga/Sporting/Benfica/Porto to enter this year!

EDIT - Just read that the club are recommending staying in Albufeira, makes it seem even more of a possibility.

Sebastian £600 for 6 nights and flights, but completely self-catered seems a bit steep, but I suppose it is middle of school holidays.

Will probably still be in.

Thats the price I got quoted as well.

Might shop around a bit.
