and why not, its just a game

All clubs should roll out the red carpet to the folk that have traversed the country to spend their cash and support their team.

(I do, of course, exclude Cardiff and Chelsea from this generalisation)

Glad you enjoyed the experience.

Hope the journey back wasn't too bad? Even though you didn't get the result today I think you showed more than enough quality at times so fingers crossed nobody left too disheartened.

Good luck for the rest of the season, fingers crossed you can take a few points off of our relegation rivals as you go! :D

I disagree with their comments about us being out-sung. We may have been at times, but both sets of supporters were pretty naff today. We only picked up at 1-0 and 2-1. I like Sunderland fans in general, but they were some of the quietest we've had this season.

I thought we were a lot better than we had been and got louder after they equalised.

It's good to see the away service has inproved. Cardiff didn't agree when they ripped/smashed up the toilets. Territorial pissings such as out singing should just stay off this thread.

Must admit, I had no idea we did that. Nice touch indeed.

I overheard a Chelsea supporter say the same thing but wasn't aware it was a regular occurrence. Proper customer interfacing and with the policy on standing and allowing supporters to make their own choices on standing, less confrontational and sensible. Then again there seems to be a complete wind change for home supporters too.

Although there was a steward who had a mental breakdown over people slamming seats.

Agreed. Much more sensible approach to home fans as well as the away fans. The club should be applauded for it.

+1 Only I thought our support was allright today, and the booing at half time was for the ref, who was keeping Sunderland in the game.
