Ipswich away 25th January (Cup games?)

by Stuka » 12 Dec 2013 11:58

Am I right in thinking there are possible FA Cup games that weekend and thus the fixture could be moved? Just wanted to double check as I'm a very organised chap and I might like buy train tickets soon.

You would be correct, you'll have to wait to see if either us or Ipswich get to the fourth round.

With us being at Brighton and Ipswich being at home to Preston, chances are it'll be rearranged due to Ipswich's continued involvement in the competition.

£23, feels a lot after £10 for Brighton and Watford!

It's been like it for years now at Ipswich. The rent they pay at Portman Road is huge hence the prices. I believe they charged Leeds fans 37 last year...

This - I'm sure they were charging north of £25 even back in 2003.

Pretty sure I paid £32 the season after we got relegated, so a 50p increase in 6 years seems quite low!

It was £31 or so last time we were there, and an easy train ride and Adnams served in the away end (with tasters of different varieties offered) means I'd like to be in for this

It was a great away day a couple of seasons ago so IN but hoping Preston knock them out or train becomes a no go, unless I can get back from Reading at 2.30 in the morning...

Will95 It was a great away day

What's so good about it?

Genuinely curious as I've always wanted to go but never have for various reasons.

Would be good to "tick it off the list"

Great ground, friendly locals, good stewards and a late winner, great day out.

Away section is in a poor place though.

Ipswich is one of the few grounds I've been to, I genuinely cannot remember anything from inside the ground whatsoever. Distinctly bang average and bland probably led to that!
