90k fine

Within the last couple of weeks the club have had to pay a £90,000 fine.

Unaware of who to or why though.

Brighton paid a £90k fine for breaking agent rules recently. There are lots of stories about that and none at all that I can see about Reading.

There is absolutely no way the women's team would be fined anything like that amount for their rule breach.

Tried to do some googling to find out what sort of fines have been imposed in women's football for similar offences in the past, and funnily enough the Royals have been caught before, albeit in a different competition, and were fined a whopping £25!

As such it looks like my earlier suggestion was nothing more than a misguided stab in the dark. So with that completely ruled out I wonder what could we possibly have been fined £90k for?

As you say, it could be breaking agent rules if Brighton are facing a similar fine for that offence. Alternatively, Ashley Cole was fined £90k for slagging off the FA on twitter not so long ago, although I'm not sure what offence that would be other than perhaps bringing the game into disrepute?
