Go to Wembley on routemaster bus excursion

by Royals and Racers » 18 Mar 2015 11:40

Just seen an advert for transport to Wembley leaving from the Madstad. I quote

"We have 3 routemaster double decker buses each holding 60 passengers. All food and drink included served by waitresses.
ALL CHILDREN RECEIVE FREE SCARF AND FLAG
£50 adults £20 children

Ok I suppose if you have a few quid at your disposal.
The company is vip-concierge.

True story - I did this for the Simod Cup Final. Double decker bus from The Bird in Hand, Tilehurst.

Nowhere near £50 though (even with inflation)

£50 for a bus journey!?

And no drinking?

I can't see many being interested in this.

Was the inflation something like this?

I seem to remember being on a bus numbered 44 and paying £12(?) , for the Swansea Playoff-with free parking at Mad Stad ?

Left at 11.00 am -could have walked there more quickly after leaving M4- but got there well on time.

Especially if it only gets to Twyford and brakes down.

Remember, this is NOT the final, its only a semi and people are already treating it as just a good day out.

Even if we beat Arsenal probably a third of people who go to the semi won't get tickets for the final, maybe nearer half.
So fair enough to make the most of this game.
