Green What happened?

Rovers fan in Upper West lit a large sparkler like firework and then threw it into the Lower West

Green What happened?

A Rovers fan threw a firework/flare onto the pitch around the time of one of the goals I think.

Into the Lower West, who then threw it onto the pitch right after they equalised.

They lit it after their goal, but the thick pcunts had brought some sort of firework rather than the flares you normally see at footy. He held on to it for quite a while, certainly long enough for him to be clocked by any steward who fancied watching, but eventually realised his mistake so chucked it into the LW seats below. How nobody got injured I don't know

Also not sure about having away fans sat above home fans with the potential for them to throw things down to the Reading fans in the lower west.

It's a shame it had to come to this, but do you feel vindic8d, Brogue?

Just put a net below so the objects don't injure anyone in the lower west

Hendo James Earnshaw reporting that club officals have confirmed to him that 4 individuals were arrested after the game on Tuesday.

https://www.readingchronicle.co.uk/spor ... e-arrests/

Thames Valley Police has since confirmed a 15-year-old boy and a 30-year-old man, both from Bristol, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a flare. These were in relation to flares being lit and thrown into the crowd.

The force also said a 31-year-old man from Bristol was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a flare while leaving the stadium.

Meanwhile, a 26-year-old man from Bristol was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order, in relation to racist abuse being shouted at the players during the match.

Based on what the Bristol Rovers fans are saying on their forum, the alleged culprit of throwing the flare into the Lower West was picked up by police after the conclusion of the match - I assume that relates to the middle paragraph.

With all the goings on, I'd also forgotten there was a loud bang during the tennis ball protest - apparently that was due to a Bristol Rovers fan setting off a banger on the stairs, near the disabled area, which supposedly injured one of their supporters (thankfully only minor injuries).
