Season Tickets 23/24

by RG30 » 24 Apr 2023 14:50

Due to go on-sale again within the next few weeks. Will you renew regardless of what division we are in? And how will you feel about the inevitable price rise?

Yes, I'll renew.

Can't see the prices going up if we go down.

If we stay up, I think a price rise is probably on the cards - the club have done well to not increase the prices for a number of years. Can't see them going up much about £400 for SJMS. Plus it would still be lower, or closer to the average ST cost in the league, which is fine.

We've constantly had one of the lowest ST prices, always been very good vfm*

Do you have anything concrete on the price rise, seen a couple of people say about it, but not seen any hard rumours.

I think if we stay up I agree that's likely, we need to try and compete better financially and we're currently offering some of the lowest ticket prices in the division, it just doesn't add up.

As for if I renew, it'll probably depend on what my Dad does, currently I go with him, my 2 nephews and their friend, if my Dad doesn't want to go, I lose my method of transport to matches and frankly I'd have to go alone at which point that would suck so it would take a lot of consideration.

I would like to renew but think I will wait to see who we hire as manager and what signings we make.

If we hire a manager with experience of the league or a young coach with the aim of developing players it’s something I can get behind. But if we hire a random foreign manager with no experience of the EFL and start signing players aged 30+ then it’s only heading one way.

I'm thinking about getting one again. It doesn't bother me what level we're playing at.

If we remain under this soul destroying embargo, I wont though. It literally leaves us with nothing to look forward to. We can't even enjoy the rebuilding of a new side.

I think having a ST will be a must anyway to guarantee a ticket for the likes of Oxford should they avoid the drop.

Heard a Sheff Utd fan on the radio say that if they renewed by a certain date (i think it was a week or two ago) his adult season ticket for what was most likely at the time to be the Premier League came to £380 and for his two kids just £75 each.
Not bad for Premier League football.

Yes will probably renew mainly because it means a bit of Reading family time every couple of weeks .
Oh and the football may one day be watchable again.

I'll renew and would not be upset if my ST in the SJM goes up a bit if we survive. I think season tickets will drop if we are relegated by £25-50

Stopped getting a season ticket after the 2015/16 season (1 before Stam came in), purely due to the fact I hated the attitude of the fans around me (Constant moaning if we weren't winning within 5 minutes). Have been going pretty regularly this season (but now in the ED rather than the East Stand).

Will be getting a season ticket again next year

Been a season ticket holder since pre millennium and will renew next year regardless.

I think if we are uncompetitive in Division One, that would try my patience for the subsequent season though.

Will buy one as soon as they are on sale whether we stay up or go down, at the worst it's a few pints in the pub and some more at the ground.
Beats being dragged around Reading town centre shops with the missus.

Seeing that Kia was at the game yesterday gives me pause for thought.

100% yes if Bowen can convince me he's got no influence - starting with a Kia free managerial appointment.

Well if Kia was there, he clearly still has a say in something, and that isn't good for us. FFS!

I think if we go for an ex player like Murty we'll sell more season tickets

He would be an absolute disaster. No thank you.
