Properly local and a bigger capacity than some of the other away days.

RIP SWEET PRINCE

I bought mine this morning.

We appear to have sold around 440 today. I'd imagine the main bulk of sales will come tomorrow, as the club always seem to ensure everyone in the first sales category can purchase a ticket. This game should sell out.

Looks to my untrained eye that there's quite a few left.

IN, anyway, been to most of the away games of this losing streak ...

It's around 670 sold thus far - so just under 1,000 left. I'm sure sales will take off after our win tomorrow.

It's still 3 weeks away. I expect we'll nearly sell out

Up to 839 sold on my estimate - just over half our allocation.

Would have been nice to be there for the anniversary of our last away win but seems like a potential pain getting back to Fleet from Reading, unless I'm being melodramatic or not understanding train times/potential return times.

I loved going to Gay Meadow, but this is a soulless concrete box on the edge of town.

My wife is originally from Shrewsbury so I have been to a few games. We have always said we'd go to any games if we ever cross paths and will be on holiday in Ludlow to make it an easy trip. However, I'm too disillusioned to go right now, despite this being a fixture 7 years in the making for us. I'll probably change my mind if Dai has gone, but I'm too tired of watching the downward spiral continue.

What's STFC for? Shut The Fu Ckup?

Sorry couldn't resist. Actually yes I could, just decided to do it anyway.

Thanks

Seems we've sold just over 1,000. There's plenty of tickets left for this one; perhaps our away record is starting to have an impact on our away followings.

From my personal experience, our away followings since Covid days have been better than they were pre-Covid days. I've been to places like Bolton and Wigan away on weekends when we have taken <=500 fans. After Covid, it definitely seemed to pick up a bit which was strange considering how poor we have been since the return of fans. Some atmosphere when we played Stoke away on the opening day a couple of years ago, Barnsley during the same season was excellent as well.

The situation this season is admittedly different with fans protesting and some may be fearing that we might not have a club left so they are making every game count (unlikely we won't have a club though).

i think our away following has increased because club 1871 has grown too. the away games I've been to seem to have alot of them in attendance

I think a factor is a lot of our support who started watching Reading around the mid-2000s have reached adulthood in recent years - and are therefore able to go to away matches regularly; a latent effect of us reaching the Premier League. We could see further increases in the next few seasons as people who started watching us around our last Premier League season (2012-13) start to reach adulthood.

We also have a lot of new grounds this season, which would encourage people to go to more away matches, but grounds we've regularly visited over the past few years seem to have had better away followings recently.

There's probably at least some bloody mindedness at refusing to miss our first away win in about a year.
