5 miles away from where I live, so no excuse for me not to attend. I've been living over here for 4 months now and I've still not seen a single person wearing a Cheltenham shirt, scarf or anything else in club colours.

Well replica kits are quite tacky. Can see it not being a Cheltenham thing.

Not all that surprising for a club with a very small fanbase. A hardcore of 3000 which, at a push, can get to 4500 for bigger games. The last time there were 7000 people inside Whaddon Road was for Everton in the FA Cup 11 years ago.

Anyway, my boy has a kit and scarf so I'll happily introduce you!

slight twitch at that - checked the last trains, so I think all good.

Had a really nice long weekend away in Cheltenham this summer. Lido swims every morning, bit of steam tren action. Lovely stuff.

indeed no trains. reckon i will drive and stay the night in a hotel as it's a beautiful part of the world. I'm off work anyway so a leisurely drive up in the morning and have a look around the city and surroundings. same on Saturday. Might even take the whole fam with me. People do like a good moan don't they

Not moaning gr8 m8. But living where I do, Chelts would be a piece of p1ss to get to and from on the old Stella Express.

Enjoy your stay down there. Sounds lush.

You can actually get back to Didcot or Reading but you have an 8 minute connection at Swindon so is doable but tight.

I believe if you miss your connection GWR have a legal obligation to pay for a taxi back to Didcot at least.

The connecting service at Swindon is usually held if the incoming train is late. I do this journey a lot and it's standard procedure.

The biggest problem will be getting back to the station for the 22.16 train. It's a (brisk) 45/50 min walk. No chance of making it unless you leave well before full time. I'd suggest quick walk into town from Whaddon Rd which will take about 15/20 mins and grab a taxi from the rank on the Promenade to get you the final 1.7 miles to the station.

Looks like this will be another (or close to) sell-out - only about 300 tickets left.

I don't think that is quite true. Pretty sure blocks 5 & 6 behind the goal for instance haven't been put on-sale yet.
