RFC Website

by Royals and Racers » 04 Jan 2024 09:33

Has anyone taken a gander at the RFC website ? It seems that apart from news- everything else seems to have paused in early December. This includes the table- 18 matches played only and all fixtures, results Etc.
For a professional football club i find it appalling and i just wonder if the company that automatically updates for all clubs haven’t been paid and said enough is enough !!!
On the home page our last match was beating Carlisle and next match is Stevenage away in Feb !!!

Or the person responsible for creating the content is one of those "let go" in December?

I mentioned it on another thread on this but 3 members of the media team have left in recent weeks but not as a result of redundancy.

On a different note they are taking their time to upload an Access All Areas video for the Exeter match on their youtube channel ...

To answer the original posts question - certain bits on the club website are powered by Opta Stats but as the club have an outstanding unpaid bill with them, nothing is currently being updated until the outstanding debt is paid off.

Which is exactly what i intimated in the OP. It’s more than pathetic on RFC’s part.

I was told today that the company who has pulled the plug on updating certain parts of the website haven’t been paid for over a year now- can’t blame them !!!!

I thought the website was maintained as part of a league wide deal.

Someone mentioned on one of the other threads the name of the company who do it for Opta- whilst the websites are the same i assume the individual clubs pay seperately.
