Terrible news, living in Thatcham I can only pick up 107 reception if I drive my car up the top of our road or with the portable in the back bedroom. Very short sighted business here by RFC. It's not just the commertry but the couple of hours before and after the game as well which Berks do in entertaining and informative way. Now were going get some wanna be "scouse boy" who "supports" liverpool cos they were the best team around when he was five ! Shocking

Desperate attempt by 107's owner to keep the station alive.

I purchased a DAB radio in an exclusive deal with myself to listen to away match commentaries by BBC Radio Berkshire. Fuming.

Do we have a view on what BBCRB will now be doing for it's loyal listening public this season? I can't see them "concentrating on the music" - I'd love them to stay focussed on the football.

BBCRB - the people's station.

I contacted them about two years ago asking about Digital coverage. They just said that their coverage area is too small and much nonsense. If they don't sort out Digital (assuming they still have some money after these rights) then the buying of these rights is clearly one of the most foolish things ever...

Alan Partridge
Only one Trevor Morley I seem to be the only person rejoicing that I'll never have to hear Joel Hufford ever again.........

He's ok much better than Tim Dellor. Reafirmed by the shocking commentary on the dvd.

Can only agree AP. Dellor on the DVD is a total arsewipe! His commentary is soul-less, about 5 seconds behind the play, and shows about as much interest in the game as I would in attending a Labour Party conference. Absolutley shocking.

Oh dear - big fan of Mr Mad - but he cant bitch and moan about the Prem being full of money grabbing b...... on one hand - whilst selling out the fans by denying BBCRB rights to give us games with the other.

Bring back Joel & Tim and their obsession with Lita's baggy shorts!!

Totally, and absolutely, gutted. As a previous poster pointed out, this is one of the reasons why the Premiership is the financial sponge complained about by John Mad. Support us RFC, we've supported you enough!! :x

Platypuss How far away can you pick up 107? In the past I've been able to pick up RB from as far way as North London.

I could get RB in Portsmouth

Totally agree, with that, and with most things said on this thread. RFC = shambles

No, not a shambles at all - they know exactly what they're doing and they're doing it well. Their agenda is to maximise revenue for all of JM's companies, at the expense of past (and potential future) customers of just one of those companies.

And it's a different agenda to what fans would want, but that's irrelevant now the product being sold is a "premium product" giving the ability to do this. And just about any businessman in the world would do the same.

As I've said before, welcome to the Premier League!

Surely us fans can do something to get Joel and Tim back??

Total disgrace BBCRB have done a lot to promote the club in the town. I think we should just boycott 107. And listen to tadio 5 live.
