I can't believe it...

Our first ever game in the Premiership and we haven't even sold out.

The club's marketing department should hang its head in shame. They've completely misjudged the public and seemed osessed with fleecing people. They've over-priced the tickets and seem to think fans will pay any price to watch us - witness the ridiculous car parking charges.

Still...can't wait for the kick off!

I find it hard to believe as well.

The club should be doing as much as possible to fill EVERY seat this season.

I wonder how many Season Ticket holders won't turn up as well...

Is it really that surprising?

Cost of tickets, time of year will have a major impact on the sales. People may well have had plans that mean they can't be there. For example, I know of 3 non-STH who would have gone but have had V tickets for ages.

And, sad as it is, the fact that we are only playing Boro will have put many people off. If say, Arsenal had been first wouldn't even have been a problem.

It's the middle of the holiday season though, look at the Championship attendances over the past week.

I'm sure it will change come September, especially when we're top of the Premiership

Firstly, the game on saturday was packed, seen one or two empty seats dotted around but on the whole it looked full.

Secondly, I seen JM on tv, and he casually mentioned our capacity as being 24'700. As it's been discussed before, is it really this much. I've seen it packed like it was today, and I've never seen the attendence figure anywhere near 24'700, not even over 24'000.

Am I missing something here?

There were three or four empty seats in front of me - indeed, I had my feet propped up on one for the whole game.

I think they were filled the previous season.

Bloody hell people! The attendance was 23,855 and that's pretty dam full to me. There are always people who can't make a game for whatever reason, and Boro had spare seats amongst them.

Bobby1413, The Chelsea attendance is the current record for the Madstad, that was 24,107.
