I think Mags hasn't got his ticket yet - so it will probably be 1,501. HTH.

I once went to a carlisle match away at oxford when carlisle were 2nd bottom in league two, on a tuesday night They took 500 fans. Reading would take about 30 to carlisle if we were in their position.

Readings away support is a joke. I thought we took a lot to wigan but it turns out that we hardly took any for our first premiership away game.

A message to all you fans moaning about expensive tickets and the lack of home one's. Go to away games.

1,200 will be there this saturday, poor by anyone's standards.

1. Aston Villa was our first Premiership away game

2. We sold out our allocation for our first Premiership away game

Thanks for the fantastic contribution there RL.

I meant to say first saturday away game, besides villa wass't even sold out, plenty of seats visable on the TV.

Wigan we took 1,300 or so in a 5,000 away end? LOLaughable.

You only watched the highlights on MOTD then, where the away end is about a quarter full at kick off? As discussed on here to it's death, the away end was full by half time, due to all the M6 roadworks and the STAR Coaches being late. Thank You.

Suppose they were still coming back from villa by the time wigan came round on the saturday then? Or just couldn't be arsed to go?

We have a hardcore of about 600 fans that will follow us no matter what, they would of been sat up at wigan. All the plastics and happy to be in the premierleague fans went to villa, the same that couldn't be bothered to go to wigan as they aren't attractive opposition and its a " long way".

RL makes a good point about the money, but lets be fair. The west stand holds how many posh familys over there that could get a jet upto wigan?

about 8,000?

There was only 1,300ish at wigan.

As someone who has travelled the length and breadth of Britain watching us play in Div 4 and upwards - I have to agree. It never occurred to me NOT to watch us play Darlington or Hartlepool or whatever just cos it was a long way. Mind you, these days with a family too, it does make it more expensive. Even if I can't go to all the Away games, Schards will be there.

I went to the Villa and Wigan games with my son .... add to that the home game on the previous saturday and i spent £200 on tickets (not for the home game as we're st holders),travel food etc for us . Im lucky that i can afford it but theres many that would love to go but simply cannot justify the expense.
So dont slag off the fans who put real life issues before football
