Upgrading tickets

by Muskrat » 11 Sep 2006 13:38

Just tried to phone the Madstad to upgrade a ST for tonights game and the recorded message said that they were not ugrading tickets for this game. Anyone know if this is correct?

I could have waited for an hour in the queue but thought that nobbers would supply me with a quicker and more accurate answer.

Presumaby because the TO like to move the goalposts when they feel like it.

well Muskrat, I called late last week - (queue position no 1 - that doesn't happen too often) - and they happily took my money to upgrade my eight year old son's ST (school tomorrow and living in kent etc etc) to allow my mate to come along instead.

Guess you got lucky. :D

And I know that my mate could have easily walked in on my son's card and no one would have stopped him. Upgrading your ST is a bit like an honesty box - just a very expensive one.

Well that's right RTW. I don't want to fleece the club and am willing to pay for the ticket upgrade, but if they won't let me, then the tempatation is there isn't it?

But I'm sure that if one of the stewards with the little hand held computer thingy checked on me, I'd be out and have my membership card locked or something stupid.

How much is an upgrade by the way, I never got as far as to find out. I did it a few times last year for about a tenner I think.

The club are taking misuse of concession STs very seriously this year. If you notice as you emerge from the turnstiles, there is a steward standing in front of you. I am led to believe that a concession ST triggers a different coloured light visible to the steward. If you want to risk having a ST confiscated, then go ahead and try.
