Late Kick Off Vs Man U

by Man Friday » 25 Sep 2006 13:36

Why was the match moved to 5.15 p.m. if it wasn't on Sky?

Since I don't see this particular question going any further - can I just say that I think it's SHAMEFUL of Sky to put commercials in their Prem Plus matches. ABSOLUTELY SHAMEFUL. I have no idea why subscribers in this country put up with it.

In the US - when you have to have a special subscription to get a channel - such as HBO or SHowtime - you then don't have to sit through a whole bunch of ads because guess what? The subscription charges cover the costs. I was shocked enough to discover that Sky Sports had commercials but then- to also see that the Prem Plus stuff does too???? Well - it's just mind-boggling really how they get away with such blatant fleecing.

I went to the pub and watched it for price of a beer.

Sky is a blatant rip off.

I'd rather listen to the radio or read a book than subscribe to that con.

Well, I wanted to record it. And anyway, I was forced to watch it at home as I didn't have a chance to get ready to go to the pub after getting back from my afternoon game.

Indeed. £42.50 - fair enough. But then sky+ charges, pay per view (£8 for one match??? and you still have bloody adverts everywhere).

Movies repeating for one month at a time

High call out charges if any problems occur

Lack of control over the price - i.e. it can increase at anytime

Lack of big sports matches on saturdays, and it's all gone to a premium pay-per-view service so in actual fact you get very little football in particular. Except for some on a sunday and mid-week. Saturday's is non existant.

Crap customer Service

... why do you buy it again?
