Says he posting an equally pointless comment.

Now I'm even doing it.

Got mine today pretty much where I wanted it - Y22 row U.

Nothing left in Y23 but the other East stand blocks still have some seats available.

Season Tickets

Got mine where I wanted on 2nd day but noticed that Royalty points have only gone up by 190 as opposed to 195 quoted for ST. Contacted TO who said that when you are allocated ST your original member card is cancelled and they deduct the 5 points allocated years ago when I became a member. How mean is that! TO also said figure of 1500 originally quoted was an approximation. In fact over 1800 available originaly for new applicants and still plenty left!

Given the complete absence of any rush to buy up available season tickets, I wonder if the club will reflect on the decision to extend the stadium.

The people responsible for filling the seats will be worried and the top knobs will press on regardless to avoid losing face / displaying lack of confidence / make a statement about staying in the Prem long-term - all of which are valid-ish reasons.

Not to sell out STs in the current situation will be an unnerving embarrassment.

If we go to 30,000 seats it will alter the whole dynamic of season ticket holding and pricing, quite possibly in the fans favour.

Hasn't Nigel Howe already hinted at that though in one of his statements? I think it was something like it will allow them to be more creative/imaginative with the pricing in the stadium.

We'll sell out of season tickets - Last week purchasers needed more than 200 points and a fairly significant previous interest in the Royals. Newcomers will easily take up the rest.

Even if we do struggle to sell them it won't have much impact on the decision to extend. I'm fairly sure that TV money will pay for it (we're not blowing it all on fancy-dans and lucrative contracts) so the club can afford to just look at the extra revenue generated by visits from the glamour clubs and non-football special events.

Relegation on the other hand...

In a parallel universe perhaps, but in this world? No chance
