Stewards are instructed to confiscate them. Can you get them back after the match if you've still got a half empty bottle?
Are they afraid they will be used as missiles?

I don't get it.

Gordons Cumming How long has it been against the rules to take plastic bottle tops into the arena?

sam1 They've been doing it for a fair while now. I just put the bottle top in my pocket. Or my bottle in my jeans waistband covered by a loose top.

gh7901 I dont understand how someone could get caught out more than once by it anyway. Happened to me once, from then on just stuck the top in my pocket, never had a problem since.
So its really not a big deal
