If I remember correctly, don't the accounts only go up to the summer, so they wouldn't incude any transfer cash received after then?

Madejski's pocket
So he can buy some more art
Basically he has stolen it from every single reading fan who bought a ticket last year. Rather than spending that £6.7 million on keeping Sidwell, he is using our cash to massage his own ego.
Birmingham and Wolves wouldn't make £6.7 million in a relegation season: they would be massively in debt. But they are big clubs and that is why they are better than us.
He should take a leaf out of Fulham's book and show some ambition.

If anyone's intrested Mr Madjeski will be speaking to Andrew Peach on BBCRB tomorrow morning, it's on 7-10am and i'd imagine Madjeski will be on around 8am. You can ask him questions.

Any club massively in debt in a relegation season isn't going to be better than us for very long.

By the way, these "massive debts" you demand the club runs up - who pays when they need paying back?

Lol at anyone who thinks any business should try to be in debt at the moment. I suspect that 6.7m is in our cash pile as a reserve, and quite right too - we're saving on sky-high interest, and it is still there to invest at the right moment.

The football credit crunch is coming for every club not owned by people from the middle-east. I think we are well-positioned to take advantage.

..and I say that as a Madekski-sceptic most of the time.

Can it also be assumed that the club intended to pay up front for the extension, so had we had this plus the same again had we not gone down the first phase would have been paid for.

Sensible financing, did we repay any debts during the year this applies to??

No. I know for a fact that they had funding agreed in principle about this time last year but one of the reasons the extension got pulled was because that funding became much more expensive.

Or he might be sarcastic about what Madejski does with his money.

I don't know what it has anything to do with the club; it's his money, he can do what the fook he likes with it.
