Dirk Gently Absolutely not dissing women's football, but one of the biggest differences I've noticed is that women don't seem to be able to clear the ball as effectively and as far as the men do. So that when a team is under pressure and wins possession they often fail to reach the half-way line, and freqently just give the ball back to the attacking team.

It's a sign of the better teams that they are more able to turn defence into attack than the lesser teams.

+1,

It's their game, so it's their choice, but a slightly smaller ball and goalposts would sort this out!

And pitches even. But then they don’t do that in football, even seen youngsters playing in full scale pitches with full scale goals.

Under 12’s play on smaller pitch’s, with fewer players and smaller goals……

The difference in quality between the top teams in women's football and the middling teams is really vast; there hasn't been a single shock result in the Group games.

BRO_BOT The quality of defending in women's football is woeful...goalkeeping is just a joke!

The Wales' goalkeeper made a fantastic save v England last night; similar to the one the PSG keeper made to keep out Delap in the World Club Cup Final at almost exactly the same time....

It was decent enough, but they let six(6) goals in. Woeful defending, no awareness of space etc

tbf to female keepers, looking bad usually only happens when the ball is placed into the corners (1/4 goal), and they simply can't reach it

FWIW I'd suggest most professional female 'keepers are probably similar average size as their male counterparts of 100 years ago, far more athletic and generally all-round better. They'd probably get barged into the back of the net more easily though!
