Stimson resigns as Stevenage boss, looks like he is off to Gillingham. Feel sorry for Stevenage.

Maidenhead picked up their second league win yesterday, giving them some breathing space from the relegation places.

Hampton bang in a nice 4-1, a confidence booster before their biggest game ever this saturday.

Good result. They should've beaten Fisher on the opening day of the season.

wasn't a pretty game and i thought Buckle made an error going 4-5-1 with 10 to go when it was Torquay who were looking likely to get the 2nd. They then went ultra defensive but thankfully held on. Terrific away win and 1st clean sheet in 9 matches.

top of the LOLeague.

BIG UP

Grass roots footy...gotta love it.

Whilst holidaying near Blackpool last week, I decided to make the 26 mile exodus to watch Lancaster City play the mighty Clitheroe in an FA Trophy replay at The Giant Axe.

Having been there several times before (30 years ago) as a kid....it was a kind've "cleansing of the soul"

Anyway........(free car parking next to the ground of course)

Entrance fee
A programme
a cup of coffee

and

A meat pie (the size of Lancashire) all for under a tenner really made it worthwhile.

Stood up for the full 90 minutes (despite having 250 empty seats to sit in)

At a game (with an attendance of circa 170), you can give the linesman grief...and he will actually answer back

The referee will allow an offside goal in the 8th minute of a 10 minute stoppage time (to which 169 of us assumed that he had already turned his clocks back in preperation of tonight).

Lancaster lost 2-1 and are out of all competitions this season.

not that it matters

however.......listening to some of their locals...........and their critisism of their team (like some of you shoot down ours)... football knows no boundaries and despite the void in league status and pie prices, we are still united in at least one thing

The 'Loan to the Conference' has just been made to a permanent deal. Apparantly the Blue Square South is interested in a loan deal though, more will follow on this latest story.

Poor old Oxford, if Maxwell had got his way they would have a team worth supporting.
