Drogba to start this one on the bench as an eligible sub, per ESPN

Although it is commonly known in English as Ivory Coast, the Ivorian government officially discourages this usage, preferring the French name Côte d'Ivoire to be used in all languages

Drogba doesn't look like he will play?

I've had the match on 7 minutes, and Portugal have barely touched the ball, Cote D'Ivoire not making the most of it yet, but the ball pinging around outside the Portugal penalty area. On that basis the 4.7 available on Cote D'Ivoire was too big to let go, have also backed the team in orange to keep a clean sheet, at 2.32.

Cote d'Ivoire just have the edge at the moment and look more likely. They are a big and powerful unit. Ronaldo has disappeared after a bright start.

Alan Partridge Cast iron 0-0.

Looking good at HT except a moment of brilliance from Ronaldo could've spoilt this.

3 veesinarow Anyway, before this turns into a Frimmers-style hijacked thread...

2-2
1 sending-off each.

Can there ever be such a thing as a thread which doesn't get hijacked by Spacey or Frimmers?

Watching this one over my shoulder without sound at work Cote D'Ivoire look pretty good really. Great strike from ronaldo early on but apart from that the only thing he looks like he'll be leaving this game with is a cauliflower arse

Game starting to open up a bit now, chances at both ends, Cote D'Ivoire looking that little more threatening. Ronaldo has gone missing.

Cracking game. Cote still look very dangerous, but Portugal nearly take the lead. Very impressed by Gervinho up front.

Dunno if this has been mentioned on any other WC threads - but the Scottish ITV website is showing this & all other games on ITV in HD:

click the HD at bottom
