But I do think Mills could do more with the ball at his feet than Sonko.[/quote]

Sonko was so fast, strong and good in the air at his peak that he would certainly rank above Mills for me.

But I do think Mills could do more with the ball at his feet than Sonko.

Now people are beginning to see my point

Royal Rother Depends how you judge a footballer doesn't it?

The difference between Mills' hoofs and Sonko's is that Mills thinks of himself as a ball playing defender and is really trying to play long passes.

Sonko always seemed pretty realistic and when he hoofed it forward it was because he was clearing it and just getting rid before he needlessly gave the ball away.

Reading going for Sonko or a Chelsea fan making over 9,000 posts on a Reading FC messageboard?

getting a 30 year defender on trial for free > paying £50m for a 27 year old striker in January in a desperate attempt to claim the title

We did better when we signed Torres after our Christmas slump, so not sure what your point is, plus, what has Chelsea got to do with Sonko being on trial at Reading?

While we're on the Chelsea topic, wasn't it Sonks who took out Cudicini in *that* Chelsea game? I seem to remember a Cudicini-like rag doll hitting the ground after its head made contact with Sonko's shoulder. Evidently a shoulder is softer than a knee...
