Deadlock He's appealing against the touching conviction, for which he got 5 years. If that appeal is successful he'll be out in six months.
I thought he pleaded guilty?

He pleaded guilty to the grooming and kissing charges (at the last possible opportunity), but not guilty to the charge of sexual touching. He was found guilty of that during his trial, and it's that conviction he is appealing.
His sentence was five years for the sexual touching conviction, four months for the kissing charge (to be served concurrently), and one year for the grooming (to be served consecutively).

Ah ok, fair enough - misread that he had pleaded guilty to all charges.

It can now be reported that Johnson was arrested last year on suspicion of possessing extreme animal pornography, but police are no long pursuing it.
