Mourinho:
From a strategic point of view we didn't lose, the tactical point of view we didn't lose

A good point made by Carragher last night-who has improved under the coaching of the special one?
You can see that some players have improved under the coaching of Pep, Poch and Klopp but the Man Utd players seem to have gone backwards.

I always felt that most of Mourinho's successes have come about through big spending-if a player doesn't work out buy another one-rather than through coaching skills.
Drogba was already good, as was Ronaldo and countless others who hardly needed coaching.

His skill IMHO was in getting players up for games but that appears to have disappeared and now the man is just a busted flush.
Marvellous to see and that nonsense of the crowd clapping him (those that hadn't already walked out after the third goal) and he clapping them was out of embarrassment at seeing the team capitulate-they didn't want to boo so they wanted to show what great supportive fans they are, but for how much longer?
His days are surely numbered and good riddance to one who brought a freshness to the Premier League when he first arrived at Chelsea but has become a bitter and twisted moaner now that he can't buy every sweet in the sweet shop.

I think that undersells his ability to organise and structure a side as well though. It can't be denied that his sides were very very effective as well as just up for it.

Totally agree the clapping was more an ego/reputation thing by the United fans and that his improvement of players is seriously lacking, even more so now than earlier in his career.

My work colleague who is a man united "fan" said "did you hear that chant from Tottenham?"

Me: no, what was it

Them: They were chanting "is there a fire drill" as everyone was leaving early

Me: oh right  :|

genome Visiting my Dad at the moment. He's gone absolutely mental (big Spurs fan)

Cracking performance tbf. Lucas looks a player.

Spurs look the best team I've seen so far? Pound for pound I'd say Pochetino is the best manager in the league. Never really spent big like the others, looks like the players love him to.

Better than Sean Dyce?

Personally I'd say yes he is. SD did great things last season but their scoring record was not great and they play that kind of football that has "Allerdyce" written all over it, but Poochie hasn't spent big and seems to spot some great talent and co pared to the clubs around them they have spent nothing. I'd also add that it can't be easy moving your home to Wembley and actually performing there as they have done.

I think someone said on TV / Radio (?) yesterday that Poch has a net spend of £30m in the last 2 / 3 years.

To have produced a team this good on the back of that is a superb achievement.

I wonder how much Burnley have spent in that time.

Nothing on Burnley in there as they've not been ever-present in the PL since 2014.

Nice one.

Looks like that was published April this year so only slightly out of date.

as a side point, I agree Dyche and Burnley have been fantastic, but I reckon their bubble has burst (ok, based on three winnable games/one point gained to date).

Might put some money on them going down.

They are having the problem at the moment of managing the Europa League with the PL, without improving/expanding the squad to cope. Expect them to go out tonight and start to pick up points. Won't be as good as last year but will be OK - about 15th I think.

Think United are comfortable winners this Sunday, might put a bit of money on a 4-0 or 5-0.

I think Man United will struggle against Burnley. Not saying they'll not win, but just think it will be tough.

1-1 maybe
or a very narrow win for Man United

Burnley out, might help their league form.

edit, I put my money where my mouth is and have put a tenner on Burnley to go down. I am not alone; all I got was 13/8  . (Paddy Power).

Only Cardiff and Huddersfield shorter odds.

Still think Brighton are in trouble despite their win against United.
