Esperance (Tunisia)
Wydad (Morocco)
Enyimba (Nigeria)
TP Mazembe (DR Congo)
Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa)
Atletico Petroleos (Angola)
Simba (Tanzania)

Takes place in October

It's an attempt to create an African Super League

I went to watch Accra Hearts of Oak about 20 years ago. Everyone threw bags of water at the linesman.

Pepe the Horseman I went to watch Accra Hearts of Oak about 20 years ago. Everyone threw bags of water at the linesman.

From what I can work out, it's basically the champions of the eight highest ranked nations in the African club rankings; only 3rd placed Algeria are not represented of the top eight nations, with 12th placed Nigeria taking their place.
