Could he not have the decency to just be average for a while, salt does not mix well with wounds.

I'd rather he continued to play well and get better. That way we can all look on his move as the right one at the right time rather than feeling all smug about a lot of money for an average player.

besides, he'd only have picked up a knock in training off Shane Long, struggle in half a dozen games and immediately get the fans on his back when the 30-yarders stop flying in

Hoop Blah Thank god we managed to nick him from under Ipswhich's nose!!!

It was a pleasure to watch him in a Reading shirt, just a shame it was all too brief.

That was Victor Illugson we pinched from Ipswich, who, I believe at the time was rated more highly than Gylfi.

When you put into context that this compilation clip below spans about just one year of Gylfis career (his first and only at Reading and first in a competitive football, bar the spells at Crewe and Shrewsbury the year before. Its amazing how much quality this boy has. I have been reading some rubbish on this board that Reading are better off without Gylfi. I disagree.

I disagree, but I don't see the point in attempting to bash down your blind belligerance.

Have we got any midfielders who are going to score 20 goals a season and produce brilliance consistently? Let me guess, Chris 'he was really good because he was consistently average when the rest of our team bottled it under Coppell' Armstrong will transform us overnight in the middle? Today we played with a winger and one trick pony in midfield alongside the young Karacan and it showed - I lost count of the times we gave the ball away needlessly, as we do all the time under McPassnot.

He was average, he just didn't make many mistakes - Shorey and Bertrand shit all over him.
