Bournemouth continuing to buy young players with potential in getting Scott from Bristol City, now going for Tyler Adams from Leeds having in recent years bought David Brooks, Adam Ramsdale, Lloyd Kelly, Tavernier and Rothwell.

If only the Mad Man had found a Russian with real money as Bournemouth did-we could be where they are now, doing what they are doing.

Envious?
I sure am.

Now confirmed Olise's release clause has been triggered by Chelsea.

This can't work for Boehly, can it? This has to all fall apart in a couple of years?

Lol. Now Olise rejects the Chelsea move and signs a new four year deal with Palace. Good on him.

In a further spin to the transfer roundabouts of this summer, this apparently now makes Palace more inclined to sell Doucoure to Liverpool.

Is Doucoure any good?

He lacks the flair of players like Caicedo and Lavia - his attacking stats are near invisible - but as a defensive 'destroyer', he's right up there. They need a replacement for Fabinho.

Sounds like just what they need really, given Liverpool's forward line I think a near offensive "invisible destroyer" is more in line with what's missing about them.

Though looks like he'll have a rival though as 'pool are on the verge of signing Wataru Endo from Stuttgart.

Chelsea was clearly a shit move career wise but an absolutely blinder played with regards to leverage for a new deal. Wouldn't surprise me if Olise had no interest in going to Chelsea.

Lewis Hall to Newcastle for £35m - they have two brilliant young full-backs now. Big price for an 18 year old, but Chelsea really forced into selling 'assets' like this to fund their spending.

Coventry's Gustavo Hamer to join Sheffield United, interested to see him in the PL.

Dodgy temperament and despite being a decent player I really don't think he's going to save Sheffield United's season.

I have met Lewis on a number of occasions, former Binfield player. He has gone out of his way over the past few seasons to get down and watch youth football, speak to the youngsters and give out the awards etc. You hear a lot about young footballers being poor roll models but the good ones like Lewis often go unnoticed. Deserves all the success in the world.

I don't think anyone is going to save Sheffield Utd, tbh. Might be early to call a car crash, but I can genuinely see Derby's record low points being under threat.

Isn't Hall's a loan move with the compulsion to buy in a year's time?.
I have never understood why Premier League clubs are allowed to do loan deals when they already have so much money to buy players outright?

Wasn't there a move a couple of years ago to try and stop this?

I thought the PL had banned PL clubs from loaning players amongst themselves.

Only where that club has bought the player in the same transfer window. This one is the other way around.

And Hall won't be allowed to play against Chelsea, that is another PL rule.

Thanks for confirming. Didn't realise he started out at Binfield, is he local to Binfield/Bracknell? Shame Reading weren't awake at the time!

In the least surprising transfer news of the week, Man City lose interest in Paqueta once they know he's up for a Toney

Pepe the Horseman Calvin Bassey to Ajax. Would've liked to see him in the Prem.

This passed me by, but just seen he's signed for Fulham. Interesting to see how he gets on.
