They really do have "special" fans that are completely different from your average football fans. Loved the interviews by the BBC after the derby. City fans interviewed with Mancunian accents. Man Yoo fans were a mixture of southerners, Northern Irish and Asians frothing at the mouth.

Agree, all successful and big clubs have universal followings scattered around every town and city you wish to name. Leeds are pretty bad offenders for it in this league never mind the Prem clubs.

Man Utd & Liverpool are probably the worst for it but they've both been hugely successful over extended periods so it's inevitable - it's up to the individual who they support of course but it's hardly surprising either that other fans are going to take a swipe at glory hunters who take the easy option of following the Big Brand teams.

Really does just emphasise how many of their current fans didn't experience their pre PL success. Just a lot of spoilt kids who dont understand that they had it better than anyone for 20 years and eventually things change.
