In our Q/F with Man City, I seem to remember they had a break on, late on in the game and he stopped it by collecting the ball and strolling back towards the h/way line, rather than laying a forward pass on. All the City fans around me were going mental at his attitude, I was just

Terminal Boardom Balotelli gets pilloried but Henry and Pires get away with their attempt at a Cruyff penalty. Hmmm - smacks of double standards to me. Or how about Pele in the 1970 world cup dummying the keeperyet rolling the shot wide?

Pele was definitely not taking the piss.

Mexico 70 SF - Brazil 4 Uruguay 2. This was the greatest player the game has ever seen attempting something I had never seen before or since at the highest level of the game. Pure genius. The fact that he missed is the only reason I think that he was just merely mortal.

At least he hasn't raped anyone yet. Like that Reading Youth team player did with that 12 year old girl, then gets let off scott free.

Throwing darts at youth team players? It it wasn't so insane it would be hilarious, the guy is a nutjob. He'll 'do a Cantona' at some point.

Scott free? Criminal conviction, 2 year sentence (reduced to 6 months recently) and something like 10 years on the nonce list.

Balotelli's a breath of fresh air, he makes me laugh a lot. Decent player on his day and I hope he improves - but he's entertainer first, footballer second.

I'm of the opinion that Pele didnt dummy the ball, he took his eye off it and overran.

I'm just saying put it is perspective. Ballotelli may throw tantrums now and again, but he hasn't committed rape like that Reading player did.

I love Mario Balotelli. Brings so much to the game. Unpredictable, insane on and off the pitch. I'd hate to have a player like that at Reading though.
