Have to say that having sat in the disabled area of a large number of grounds in the top 2 divisions ours is really very good.

Most of the Premiership offers disabled fans no view of the game at all, plus a reasonably high chance of getting injured.

Of course things could always be improved and Dirk is right about the fact that sadly people sat in front of the wheelchairs do sometimes get in the way. I thought most disabled fans use the carpark that was tarmaced last summer (or was it the summer before ?), plus of course the spaces behind the East Stand.

Fair play to Brighton, after the farce that was the ground move itself, it seems they are actually going to end up with a pretty decent new home. And that has to be one of the more stunning views of a ground in England, very picturesque, if a little out of place.

Looks v impressive, reminds me a lot of the Reebok/McAlpine (or Galpharm whatever it's called now...) and on the comment that Brighton have traditionally been a bigger club then Reading, haven't we played in the same league/above them for the best part of 20 years now?

not really the case though - it's on the A27, squeezed in between two Uni campuses and next to a massive Southern Water site. when you're there it doesn't actually look all that huge, it's nicely nestled in I think.

Yep, it's in a natural dip in the countryside so can't really be seen until you're right there..

I think it'll be a pretty popular ground eventually, especially if they can run special matchday services into the city which should be easy enough as it's not a hugely busy line

I remember we won a prize back in the day for the standard of our disabled facilities. I guess it is just a sign of the times, that every new stadium built does slightly better. I would say ours is pretty decent given it's age.

Yep - although we were ahead of the times when opened in 1998, the revision of the DDA in 2005 raised the bar.

A large % who live in Brighton have either worked a AmEx or EDF Energy (or both as I did).

Took a snap of the stadium at the top of Ditchling Beacon on Sunday. Without question it's going to have one of the most picturesque settings from a far. It certainly pisses all over ours
