tidus_mi2SanguineSilver Fox All charges against Mason Greenwood dropped, so presumably he gets straight back in the squad? I ask this not knowing if he's actually left Man Utd
Makes me sick, tbh. 'Key witness withdrew cooperation with prosecution.'
He might not now be a convicted rapist or domestic abuser, but the audio release makes it clear that Greenwood is a disgusting, vile sex-pest who treats women like dirt. The absolute piece of shit.
People celebrating this on twitter, mostly blokes, is quite harrowing too. It does feel there are some major issues with prosecution of sexual violence, would drag Mendy into this as well who was cleared of 6 of the 8 rape accusations so far. I have seen people suggest rape is very hard to get a conviction for rape, indeed roughly 1% of reported rapes end in a charge which just doesn't seem right at all.

There is a major issue with convicting sexual violence however, it definitely seems to be a problem that is exacerbated when the alleged attack has a level of fame.
In this case, he seems like a piece of sh*t but he's been cleared so he should and will likely be able to continue his career. Whether Man Utd will want that to be with them, is another matter.

Not sure he's been "cleared" - key witnesses are no longer going to testify, so there's not a realistic chance of prosecution. Legally he's obviously not guillty as he's not going to be tried - but whether that affects anyone's opinion of him remains to be seen.

Pepe the Horseman Yeh would be shocked if any English clubs would be willing to take him - even Chelsea. Turkey would be my guess.

Major update after Everton footballer arrested on suspicion of child sex offences
PROSECUTORS are now probing the case of an Everton star arrested on suspicion of child sex offences.
The Premier League player, who can't legally be named, was held by police in July 2021 before being released on bail.
The Crown Prosecution Service has now confirmed a file of evidence has been passed to them by police, the Mirror reports.
A spokesperson said: "We received a file of evidence from Greater Manchester Police on 31 January 2023 following an investigation into allegations of multiple sexual offences.
"We are considering this material in line with our legal test.”
The CPS will now examine the evidence to decide whether to charge or not to charge the player.
