Hoffenheim currently 2-0 at home to Kaiserslautern, with Gylfi scoring the first.

Gylfi has told Icelandic media that he is unhappy with his situation at Hoffenheim. He has only started 5 games for Hoffenheim in all competitions this season but scored 8 goals and is the clubs topscorer. The new manager just doesnt seem to rate Gylfi though. He started his first game in the new year against Kaiserslautern at the beginning of this month and duly scored. In the next match he was benched and came on with 20 minutes left. Last weekend he came on in the 90th minute.

He told Icelandic media that he was going to seek some answers from the manager: "It frustrating," he said. "I am not going to sit on the bench forever. If things dont work out for me here, they will do so elsewhere," he said.

I have a feeling Gylfi will return to England in the summer.

It's a shame as when he left he said he didn't want to go somewhere to sit on the bench, he def deserves to start and is gd enough to start

If we could get him back for the rest of the season that would be awesome.

But a backwards step. We'd then have the same problem of needing to replace him in August, rathern than finding a way now.

If he gets us promoted it's a little less of an issue though.

This talk of him coming back is pretty mong-ish. It will not happen.

Surley it's more of an issue - we'd then have to find a PL standard player rather than a Championship standard one.

Tbf if we went up we'd need 7 or 8 PL standard players, nevermind one midfielder.

Inter is not the first giants with a move to Atletico Madrid, Juventus, AC Milan, Manchester United and Arsenal are all said to have an eye on the player.

Unbelievable shite reporting.
