If Cole hadn't have made that excellent goal line clearance I might be inclined to say tie over.

Chelsea 3 - 1 Chelsea

Domin8ed but beat ourselves.

Still putting a bet on Napoli to win 3-1 made the defeat easier to take. 8)

At least he was still between the ball and the goal for the third, what was Petr the hat up to?

Yeah. Was a bit :| at the Neville repeatedly saying Chelsea should win 3 or 4-1 last night, despite the obvious inability of Chelsea to get it right in the final third and their abject hopelessness in their own. The third goal was wholly predictable.

I'm not the only one who thinks that David Luiz looks more like a forward thinking midfielder than a defender, oxf*rd me who decided that was his best position?

all the chelsea fans i have heard on the radio have been saying the same thing........if everyone can see he would be better suited in midfield, why doesn't AVB play him there?

Looks like being the first time since the 1995/96 season that no English side has been in the last 8 of the competition.

I'd have played this team last night

Bosingwa Cahill Ivanovic Cole

Luiz

Sturridge Mata Lampard Malouda

Drogba

Have Luiz playing just in front of the back 4 so he's not the last line of defence. The position would suit him better, he's a quality player, just doesn't have the instinct to be an out and out defender unless he learns when to play it safe. Would be a gr8 link player between defence and midfield and also give him the opportunity to bring the ball out which he often does..

You seem to be missing a goalkeeper.

If its that obvious to us, why isn't your manager doing it?

I reckon he'll be gone by April

Agreed.

He is not only being wasted being played at the back, but he is a constant liability there.
