Winston Biscuit I was wondering the other day about whether they could introduce a rule where goalkeepers could handle the ball in both boxes, not just their own. oppo keeper obv couldn't throw it directly into the goal though. Corner would come in and you'd have both keeper in there trying to catch it.
Visions of keepers catching and then stuffing the ball under their shirts before throwing themselves into the net! Guess the intention is for such a keeper to “handle” the ball into a knock down for a teammate to score? Personally I’d prefer to leave things as they are unless these last two suggested rule amendments are combined into something along the lines of, “only goalkeepers are allowed in the 6 yard box at a corner kick until the ball has been touched by another player after the kick is taken” then you might have a little more scope to use hands to your team’s advantage - particularly if the corner taker has superb set piece delivery accuracy.
