Well pleased for the lad. To be a foreigner in the Bundesliga and attain the best efficiency... he ought to be very proud.

Gylfi voted supporters player of the season at Hoffenheim. The 2nd season in a row he receives this award.

That's some achievement given he wasn't even a regular starter. He's surely the best player to have ever played for Reading (or will be anyway).

He finished as Hoffenheims topscorer with 10 goals in 32 games in all competitions. Minutes per goals means he was the 3rd topscorer in the league after Gomez and Pape Demba Cissé, 130 minutes between goals in average. Better than Thomas Muller, Raul, van Nistelrooy, Huntelaar and others and Gylfi is a midfielder. Strange that he wasnt given more playing time.

He was a game-changer at Reading, but started due to the quality in the rest of the squad. He's a game-changer at The Hoff but they've got a better first XI.

As mentioned in the betting thread, Gylfi will be starring in Iceland's U21 team tomorrow against Belarus. The game kicks off at 5pm and will be shown live on SS1.

Definitely not the best game Gylfi's ever had but apparently he's been ill so can't have been 100% fit.

BTW Anderson is in goal for Denmark in their game.

I asked that on the Ex-Royals thread, he apparently is injured but should be back soon.

Linked with Villa in today's paper

If it happens (can't see it) least we will get a cash injection (into JM's back pocket)

Surely he'd have to be sold at a profit for there to be a sell-on fee?

Depends on what was agreed. Most are based on profit, some aren't.

Indeed, but i can't see a German club who paid cash agreeing to anything other than a sell-on based on profit.
