Not that much really, I mean Yaya Toure earns that in 2 days.

Indeed, congratulations.

The blue moon is on the rise as the sun sets on English premier football.

Fair play, they've had the attack and played good football (unlike Chelsea), but they also had the defence (unlike Arsenal or Liverpool). No fairy tale ending, but the right team won it.

Stat I saw on TV. City spent only 14 days at the top of the table this season, which is the least any winning side has ever had.

tempered by the fact that they were playing"catch up" with regard to games played in the premiership for the bulk of the season.

Short memory and conclusive proof again, that Ian knows nothing about football.

Start of the season we were playing open attacking football, which led to us conceding too many goals, latter part of the season we shut up shop but still managed to trounce Arsenal 6-0 and Spurs 4-0 by playing boring football eh Ian?! Our squad is good, but the balance wasn't quite right this season and as G Nev said "Chelsea are the only team to have thrown away the league title this year".

Boring boring Chelsea...

tbf i had Chelsea down as winners this year and i reckon you would have done it if you had a Suarez/Aguero type player up front for you. If you do get Costa for next season then i can see you winning the league next season

Goals for/against

City - 102-37
Liverpool 101-50
Chelsea 71-27

Look pretty boring by comparison

Just think, if Chelsea had beaten Sunderland and Norwich at the bridge, they'd have been champions. G Nev is right, that's some choke.

Agreed. Although a bit simplistic looking at goals scored.

Players not taking easy chances was our downfall this season. If they had been converted I doubt many would have called Chelsea boring.

MmmMonsterMunch They deserve it they really do. What a player that Toure is.

Yep. Yaya now joins Frank Lampard as being the only midfielders in Premier League history to score 20(+) goals in one season.

Just to clear up the UEFA punishment. They now only have to pay 16 million of there original 50 million fine, And the squad is capped to 21 players the same amount they used in reaching the last 16 last season. :o

That's not quite accurate is it. They only have to pay £16m of the fine now. Doesn't mean they won't have to pay the rest if they don't behave themselves.

They may have only used 21 players this season, but they still have to have the same number of homegrown players next season despite fewer in total. How many of the remaining 4 players they didn't use were makeweight home-growners? And they went out in the last 16, they may have needed to use more if they'd got furtehr.

Hard to see why City have been punished at all. Unfair shouldn't be interfering in clubs who operate within their financial capability. They should be looking at clubs who spend more than they can afford. City have no debt - what is the problem ?
