Andover New Street PP Stockbridge Away side still struggling for players – have been for about a month – manager and staff left en masse mid November? :(
Cowes Sports 3-2 Fleet Spurs
Tadley Calleva 3-1 New Milton Town

-- went for closer 'new' option: ISTHMIAN One South: Horsham 6-2 Guernsey - worrying times for the 'Donkeys' or 'Green Lions' - who have strung together a sequence of awful away performances (this equalled their worst ever league defeat since joining the English Pyramid) and they are drifting slowly out of contention for play off spots: dropped to 7th and are 21st on current form.
Horsham are 'lodging' at their lesser (literally) next door neighbours currently Sussex League YMCA's Gorings Mead ground - their own ground was built on some time ago (2008) and they've gone semi-nomadic - played at Worthing for a spell but there are several NL clubs sited in this area around Gatwick - so there may be a dilution of resources. They are trying to develop something to the south of the town down the A24, out towards Southwater?

A very impressive 5-0 win for Windsor over a very poor Horley Town side. An early goal from Dan Hicks which was followed up by an excellent strike from Minhas and then Sheehan also lashed home in a dominant first half. Horley did get the ball in the net but was ruled out for offside. The second half was excellently controlled by Windsor and Horley really struggled to put together any sort of pattern of play. No surprise then when Pearse tapped home and everything wrapped up by the begloved George Gould. And the pre Christmas crowd was swelled by about 30 members of the Windsor FC Youth Under 11s. Why don't more non league clubs encourage their youth teams to first team fixtures?

I don't understand why we don't do it every Saturday home game.

To be fair, it takes a fair bit of organising plus there are the usual grumbles from coaches who don't want to pay a paltry £6 to get in.

Isn't there any 'elf and safety red tape that can get in the way for clubs? It's a good idea but my first Windsor (and eton) game was when i was a young lad and it took me about 20 years to come back so expecting instant returns may not work but it did play a part in why i came back to it!

Then let the cheapskates in for nothing.

It used to be the case that the coaches of the Youth teams were let in for nothing every game, which I always found a bit surprising.

Royal Rother They were absolutely awful from what I've heard.

You heard correctly. Injuries and suspensions didn't help but no width, couple of basic errors and the weather did not make for a good game. Still, Jake Parsons will get fitter, players will be back over Xmas so still hopeful of a play-off run.

Staines Town 2-1 Sutton United
Tonbridge Angels 2-1 Eastbourne Borough
Weston-Super-Mare 3-0 Dorchester Town
Whitehawk 1-2 Bromley
CONFN
Oxford City 0-2 Solihull Moors

SOUTHP

Chesham United 3-3 Arlesey Town – goals apiece in injury time

Barton Rovers PP Beaconsfield SYCOB
Daventry Town 2-0 Northwood

Marlow 1-1 Uxbridge – visitors equalize with injury time pen.
North Greenford United 1-5 Rugby Town
Potters Bar Town 1-4 Royston Town
Slough Town 0-2 Kettering Town
St Ives Town 4-0 Ashford Town (Middx)
SOUTH1S&W
Cinderford Town 2-3 Didcot Town Diddy snatch welcome three points in 5th minute of added on time
Mangotsfield United 2-0 Fleet Town
North Leigh 0-4 Stratford Town
Thatcham Town 1-2 Clevedon Town
Yate Town 4-1 Guildford City

CCLP
Camberley Town 1-0 Hartley Wintney
Colliers Wood United 5-1 Chessington& Hook United
Croydon 2-5 Mole Valley SCR
Epsom & Ewell 5-3 Horley Town
Frimley Green 2-1 Cove
Hanworth Villa 2-2 Molesey
Wembley 0-0 Bedfont Sports
Westfield 5-2 Windsor
- Windsor drop to 4th place as E&E and Camberley take advantage. South Park at the top were not in action yesterday. Reports elsewhere suggest the win was well-merited for the Woking-based outfit (Westfield) and it might have been worse - also think Windsor missed their obligatory pen. too?
CCL1
Cobham PP Bedfont& Feltham
Eversley&California 2-0 Knaphill
Sheerwater 3-4 Banstead Athletic
Spelthorne Sports PP Staines Lammas
Worcester Park 0-2 Sandhurst Town

HELLP
Abingdon Town PP Oxford City Nomads
Ardley United 3-0 Flackwell Heath
Bracknell Town 0-1 Wantage Town
Brimscombe&Thrupp PP Binfield
Cheltenham Saracens PP Ascot United
Highmoor Ibis 3-1 Abingdon United
Kidlington 2-1 Reading Town
Shrivenham 2-1 Newbury
Thame United 0-2 Highworth Town
Wootton Bassett Town 6-2 Holyport

- RTFC dropping well off the pace back to 6th now, following a run of poor results - Ascot currently sit 2nd behind leaders Ardley - though Wantage in 3rd have had a few p'ponements and have played fewest of the top 6.
- Highworth up to 4th on a good run too. Highmoor/IBIS still handily placed in 5th, just behind them with games in hand.
- At the other end 'Shrivvy' climb out of the bottom 4 replaced by Newbury with Holyport struggling badly below them. Abingdon Utd, after their ignoble start of 13 straight defeats, have picked up slightly and are now level on points with 'port. As usual never clear how many will go down what with the vagaries of finance and grading and is a bit early to assess .... but suspect it could be two from these 4 with poor Abingdon Town probably nailed on - still without a win in the league this season.
'Moles' (Binfield) sit mid-table with plenty of games in hand but are probably too far adrift of the top now to make an impact and as mentioned earlier, are currently injury-riddled. 'Robins' (Bracknell) are only just above the danger-zone and will want to pull clear soon - now had a run of 7 defeats in 8 and the NY fixtures don't look to friendly - will need something out of next Saturday's visit from Ab Utd.!

HELL1E
Burnham Res 1-2 AFC Hinksey
Chinnor 2-3 Penn &Tylers Green
Finchampstead 3-1 Chalfont Wasps
Maidenhead United Res PP Milton United
Wokingham & Emmbrook 2-0 Headington Amateurs
Woodley Town 1-5 Rayners Lane

- in this section AFC Hinksey are still clear at the top with Head Ams and now 'Sumas' in hot pursuit. Milton Utd in 4th, with games in hand, are well-placed and probably have the grading to progress - unlike those above them. Hinksey may get up as they ground share at Ab. Town - though whether their 'landlords' would be happy about being replaced by their lodgers is another factor. There are plenty of rumours regarding the immediate financial future of the 'Abbots' - so a merger may not be out of the question - Culham Rd is a great old ground too and run by some very nice people.

HELL1W
Carterton PP Letcombe

WESSP
Whitchurch United 0-2 Horndean
WESS1
Andover Town 4-0 Team Solent
Petersfield Town 6-3 Fleet Spurs
Ringwood Town 0-2 Tadley Calleva
Pewsey Vale 0-1 Cowes Sports

... gave in to my mate's wishes and trekked round the far end of the M25 for a 'new tick' at ISTHMIAN ONE South: Whitstable Town 0-1 Hythe Town. Fairly non-descript match but the ground [Belmont Road - snigger  ] was appealing enough in a ramshackle non-league kind of way. Lots of noisy anti-Herne Bay songs  - game won by an outrageous chip from close to 50 yards with the home keeper stranded on the edge of his box. M25 complete sh!te both ways round by jns 5/6/7 - 10 miles of cones and speed restrictions but back home by about 18:45 in time to watch the Mackems level @ Caerdydd.

Yes, Westfield were very good and deserved the 3 points although the margin flattered them a bit.

And yes, Windsor scored one pen and missed another with 5 mins + added to go. Shame as having been 4-1 down and looking dead and buried that would have made it 4-3 and set up a pulsating climax where it's entirely possible the momentum shift might have seen us grab an unlikely point.

Royal Rother Yes, Westfield were very good and deserved the 3 points although the margin flattered them a bit.

And yes, Windsor scored one pen and missed another with 5 mins + added to go. Shame as having been 4-1 down and looking dead and buried that would have made it 4-3 and set up a pulsating climax where it's entirely possible the momentum shift might have seen us grab an unlikely point.

5-4, we're gonna win 5-4!!!

... not that big a program in local 'NL' this NYD - nothing below STEP04.

- which is odd as traditionally I always thought the CCL, for example, would play AM games on Boxing Day and New Year. Intrigued, I looked back and in fact it didn't happen last season either - possibly a few off and fewer scheduled due to poorer weather last December?

... just a brief update - for any thinking of avoiding the deluge of torpor at the MadStad this PM  - the 'local' NL games I'd posted above are almost all wiped out - only exceptions that have survived the downpours as of the last half-hour or so (BUT do check before travelling) are at :

Aldershot, Banbury, Chesham and Thatcham
