Real Madrid go 2-1 down with 10 minutes to go

PSG just conceded too and are now drawing

And equalise in the 93rd minute and almost win through Casemiro in the last few seconds.

I assume Hazard is laughing with the Sevilla players at the end

PSG draw, with Rennes wasting a great chance in the 95th minute to win. Rennes battered PSG in this game. Lille now 3 points clear with 2 left to play

Serie B finishes tonight

Empoli have won the league and 2nd place goes to either Salernitana or Monza. Lecce, with Liam Henderson playing for them, were looking good for 2nd place but look to have completely fallen to pieces in the last month

The number of teams in the play offs is decided after the season as its based on a decent model of how close teams are to 3rd place (I wrote about all that before on her) and it looks like 6 teams will take part this time

Frankfurt doing their now almost traditional f*ck up of getting into the Champions League.

After beating Dortmund 3 weeks back they were in the top 4 with a 7 point cushion. Following a 1-1 draw in the derby against Mainz yesterday, they have slipped to 5th behind Dortmund.

Yeah the playoffs in that league are oxf*rd bizarre and confusing. Didn't you say a couple seasons ago there were something like 9 or 11 teams in it?

To confuse things even more, Salernita have won promotion but haven't at the same time (yet)

Late goal for Levante last night earned them a draw against Barcelona. With so few games left that looks like it may cost Barca their chance at winning the league

Atletico with a tough game against Sociedad tonight

Italian media saying the Chinese owner of Inter is pretty skint and is looking to offload many of its big name players this summer. Also asked players to defer wages until they can get themselves sorted, or sold to someone else

Sporting Lisbon win the Portuguese league. Quite a turnaround from 2018 when they had all their problems with fans smashing their way into the training ground, players tearing up their contracts etc.

Their manager, Ruben Amorim, sounds 'interesting'. He managed a 3rd division team briefly but it was found he didn't have the coaching certificates he told them he had and was banned from football for a year. He got that overturned a few months later and became reserve manager of Braga, 3 months on in January 2020 he is asked to step in temp charge of the first team after they sack their manager, over the next 2 months he gets the team playing decent football and they win the cup final. Sporting owner apparently became somewhat obsessed with him and starts publicly courting him. Ends up paying €10m compensation fee and takes him to Sporting as first team coach after the bloke has only had 2 months of top flight management experience. Transforms the team and they win their first league in 19 years and also won the League Cup at 36 years of age.

Apparently he has become well known there for touchline bust ups, being sent to the stands and being up in front of the Portuguese FA getting fined. #lad

Its said that one example of his managerial nous is that in March one of their big name players, Joao Mario, had not been putting in effort during training so he dropped him and instead gave Dário Essugo a surprise debut at 16 years and 1 week of age. Essugo apparently put in a bif of a heroic performance effort wise and absolutely ran himself into the ground. At full time the exhaustion and emotion of it all was a bit much for him https://twitter.com/Sporting_CP/status/1373409015707881474

Amorim has a slightly ridiculous 73% win rate as a manager, across three teams.

And maybe he does just have something. Braga's league record in 19-20 with Amorim in charge was 8 wins and a draw in 9 matches. They only won 10 of their other 25 league games that season, either side of his tenure.

Big games in Serie A tonight. Juventus away to Sassuolo who are in 8th and on a great run of form.

A loss for Juve and results going against them elsewhere could almost finish their CL qualifying hopes

Atalanta Vs AC Milan on the last day of the season. It's possible a draw would be enough for them both to be guaranteed CL football. Not sure Italian clubs are into shenanigans like that though....

Top 5 all win in Serie A. Its as you were with Juve in 5th with everyone having 2 games left to play

due to how close 2nd to 5th are, some the GD, and with Inter playing Juve next weekend and then Atalanta Vs Milan on the last day it really could set up a fascinating final day.

Atalanta Vs Juventus in the Coppa Italia final next wednesday too

Atletico & Sevilla both won last night.

Anything but a win for Real Madrid tonight and the title will be pretty much on its way to Atletico

Yep Barca's draw at Levante has pretty much ended their title hopes barring a pretty unlikely series of results.

Juve beat Sassuolo 3-1 but they have to beat Inter.

With 2 games to play

Atalanta 75pts
Milan 75pts
Napoli 73pts gd 43
Juve 72pts gd 35

The other thing to factor is that teams on equal points are separated by

1) Head to head results
2) Head to head goal difference
3) Overall goal difference

Atalanta Napoli 1 win each g/d 6-5 to Napoli
Milan 0 Atalanta 3 second match to play
Atalanta 4 pts, Juve 1

Milan Napoli I win each, gd 3-2 Milan
Milan Juve 1 win each gd 4-3 Milan

Napoli Juve 1 win each gd 2-2

So basically everyone bests Juve head to head except Napoli who nudge ahead virtue of the better overall goal difference. Napoli also have the easier fixtures of the 4.

Bottom of the Spanish Segunda looks interesting. With 4 games to go Albecete who are bottom are not relegated yet, and technically anyone from around 8th downwards are within reach of those currently in the relegation zone, but realistically its 10 clubs, from Oviedo downwards, who are all in danger of going down

Bound to be some good match ups between those before the end of the season
